When used regularly, however, a noticeable reduction in the corneal layer can be clearly felt. Further ingredients of these corneal ointments, such as urea and vegetable oils, serve to make the skin smoother and to increase the moisture in the skin. Salicylic acid is often found as the main effective ingredient in corneal ointments without mechanical ingredients.
